Below are summaries of the basic rules for Network activities along with downloadable forms to be used.

Adventurous Activities

Scout Network members who are over 18 do not need to hold activity permits to undertake most adventurous activities like hiking or water activities. All they need to do is sign an Adult in Adventurous Activities form saying they take responsibility for themselves as adults. This form must be completed every time an adventurous activity is undertaken.

If there are any members under 18 taking part, then the normal Activity procedures must be followed, and correct permits held.

Any activitiy running outside of your district should have the organiser contact the host District Commissioner.

Nights Away

A Nights Away Notification (NAN) form does not need to be completed for Network nights away, however all the information found on this form should be passed to the County Scout Network Commissioner, who in turn will pass it onto the County Commissioner.

The normal Scouting Home Contact procedure must still be followed.

The Nights Away procedure should be followed if any Networker taking part is under the age of 18.
